On the recommendation of the MPG patent office an option on all these, my patents, was sold to the Pharmaceutical company Hoechst, Frankfurt, who did not make any use of them. At a later stage, contrary to the contract, the patents were then neither pursued nor maintained by the MPG. At the 330 Citations and References within the period of validity of the patents clearly show, one can assume that a considerable financial loss for both the MPG and I was the consequences.
These patents would not have been granted if there had been corresponding scientific pre-publications.

I have applied for my first patent on 24/11/1958 at the German Patent Office in Munich under the reference number K 36 308 IX/42 1 with the title "Procedure and device for the registration of chemical reactions".
